ペットのグルーミング（カットやシャンプー、ブラッシング、爪切り、耳掃除など）

• Summary of Duties: Performs detailed inspections to determine the appropriateness of pet grooming. Responsible for combing, clipping, trimming, brushing, and shaping pets’ coats to groom pets, using current grooming techniques and styles. Employee should be prepared to care for dogs, cats and other pets as well.
• Bathe and dry pets with the use of special solutions to keep them free of fleas, ticks, and other pests. Studies proportions of pet to determine most appropriate cutting pattern to achieve desired style. Interprets written and oral instructions to determine clipping pattern desired. Clips pet’s hair according to determined pattern, using electric clippers, comb, and barber’s shears.
• Safely places pets on grooming table (or other grooming mechanism) and fits grooming collar on pets to hold animal to table. Talks to pet or uses other techniques to calm animal. Provides basic needs for the animals (standard feeds and liquids) according to owner’s schedule.
• Cleans and sanitizes kennels and cages, feeding and watering areas, cleans with disinfectant; washes bowls and litter boxes.
• Discusses with each owner the animal’s individual feeding habits, date of last rabies immunization, distemper, etc. Receives customers, furnishes information concerning facility operation and maintain record of reservations. Calculates and posts charges to customers’ accounts. Receives payment on accounts. May help with emergencies. Performs assigned tasks independently.

• 職務内容に適したペットグルーミングまたは関連分野の資格必須。
• 関連分野で最低でも9か月間の経験があることが望ましい。
• 最大23kgの荷物の持ち運びが可能な方
• 英語での読み書きができる方
• Minimum Qualification: Certification in pet grooming or related field appropriate to work of the position is required. (A copy of pet grooming certification must be provided with the application.)
• A minimum of nine (9) months experience in animal boarding, animal clinic, kennel or pet shop is preferred. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Software. Must be able to read and write in English. Knowledge of normal feed and liquid needs of animals. Knowledge of grooming standards for all breeds of dogs and cats, understands small-animal anatomy, and will know how to spot changes in a pet’s hygiene that might indicate a health concern.
• Ability to discover potential problems early, such as ear infections, skin abnormalities or tooth decay. Must have high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. Skill in observing, handling, and controlling animals without injury to animal or self.
